Your Lucky Day

Updated: Sep 21, 2019

It’s St. Patrick’s Day and a gaggle of us are gathering at the club house for a good-ole Irish sing-along. I found out a few years ago (in my 50's) that I was 1/4 Irish! It’s a long story, but whether or not you have a touch of green, Irish songs are heartfelt and singing them with your friends brings the lyrics to life. Google the benefits of singing in a group and you will find all sorts of good articles, but what I know for sure is, after a sing-along I feel GREAT!

All sing-along’s benefit from accompaniment and often it is a guitar. Well how about a portable keyboard? You play the melody and the chords AND if you play off a lead sheet you don’t have to worry about turning pages.

My good-luck Irish gift to you is a great tune for St. Paddies Day - When Irish Eyes are Smiling. Click on the title for your FREE download. If you want more songs, I’ve posted a booklet of 6 favourite Irish tunes on Sheet Music Plus Irish Sing-along. They are all in lead sheet format with lyric sheets to hand to your friends. It includes Danny Boy, Molly Malone, Galway Bay, Too ra loo ra loo ra, My Wild Irish Rose and When Irish Eyes Are Smiling.

May the road rise up to meet you...
